This collaboration brought one of Bee’s long-held ambitions to life - designing a collection for Lucy & Yak, inspired by their original artworks. The project was developed over almost a year, with each piece translating elements of Bee’s existing visual language into wearable form.
The collection marked a significant milestone in Bee’s practice, with their work appearing in Lucy & Yak stores across the UK and online globally. Seeing the artworks translated from the studio into a nationwide retail environment created an opportunity to engage with a much wider audience through a new and highly tangible format.
As part of the wider Lucy & Yak collaboration, Bee created a series of illustrations for an accompanying programme of creative workshops held in Lucy & Yak stores across the UK.
The workshops centred around creativity, craft, and community, featuring exclusive embroidery designs created by Bee for participants to stitch onto their own garments. The designs offered a further way for Bee’s artwork to be interpreted and personalised by the people taking part, extending the collection beyond the garments themselves and into a shared, hands-on creative experience.
