Anyone creative knows that it can often feel like an uphill battle trying to get your foot in the proverbial door. Trying to build a career from scratch in an industry that seems focused more on who you know (and who your parents are) rather than what you know can feel overwhelming at points…but in my experience, it’s what I’ve learned from making all the mistakes a creative could make, as well as guidance I’ve had from those more experienced than me that’s ended up being the most valuable in helping me make progress in my career.
I’ve learned so much over the decade (!!!!) I’ve been in the creative industry, and I want to put it to good use and help other creatives, no matter their experience level, or where they are in their career. I’m a firm believer that knowledge is power and sharing really is caring…which is why I’m opening up a limited number of mentoring spaces to offer creative guidance or help you get a project off the ground - from someone who has been there, done that, got the t-shirt and made all of the mistakes, so you don’t have to!
How It Works:
Getting started is super simple. Just fill out the enquiry form with a few details about yourself, your availability, and a rough idea of what you’re hoping to get out of creative mentoring—it takes less than five minutes.
From there, choose the session type that feels right for you. I currently offer three core options, but I’m more than happy to adapt depending on your needs. Not sure what suits you best yet? No problem. Just share your goals as best you can in the form, and we can figure the rest out together.
You can book a one-off session or choose a block of weekly or monthly sessions to support you throughout your project. Discounts are available for block bookings of 4 or more sessions.
Where possible, I also offer a Pay What You Can / sliding scale option for lower-income creatives - just let me know in the enquiry form if this applies to you, and I’ll do my best to make something work.
Once I receive your enquiry form, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible (usually within 48 hours) to confirm your session and send over a payment link.
TYPES OF SESSION:

Whether you're a recent graduate in need of portfolio advice or an established creative getting ready to pitch a project to a client, you can book a session with Bee to look over your work, and get feedback on your ideas. It’s all about making sure your proposal and portfolio are doing your creative practice justice.
There’s no need to attend a live session unless you want to - just book your slot and send over a link to your portfolio or a PDF file, and you’ll receive clear, helpful feedback within 48 hours of your booking. If you’d prefer to meet in real time, that’s absolutely fine too! Just make sure to send over your portfolio at least 48 hours before your session so Bee has enough time to go through it properly.

Whether you're looking for a more in-depth portfolio review, practical advice on navigating the industry, or a fresh perspective to help shift a creative block, we can shape the session around your needs.
We’ll begin with a deep dive into your goals, values, and how much time you can realistically dedicate to your creative practice alongside other commitments. We’ll also talk about how you like to work, so we can come up with practical, actionable advice and tasks that actually fit your life.
After the session, you’ll receive a written recap full of advice, along with a personalised plan based on what we discussed, and an easy-to-follow checklist to help you stay on track toward your goals.

If you’re looking for more consistent support, booking a block of four sessions gives us the time and space to dig deeper into your creative practice. It’s ideal if you’re working on a longer-term project, navigating a period of change, or just want regular check-ins to help you stay focused and accountable.
Each hour-long session is tailored to what you need - whether that’s ongoing portfolio development, building sustainable routines, or tackling specific challenges as they come up. Sessions can take place on Zoom or in person, depending on availability and location.
After each session, you’ll get a written recap with clear, actionable, personalised advice, plus a checklist of suggested tasks so you’re never left wondering what to do next. It’s a more focused, steady way to build momentum without trying to cram everything into a single hour.
ABOUT BEE:
An award-winning illustrator, curator, and interdisciplinary creative based in London, Bee (aka @beeillustrates) combines their artistic practice with digital mixed media to create work that centres around mental health, queerness, and personal stories. They graduated from The University of Edinburgh with a First Class Ba (Hons) in Illustration, having also completed courses in Queer Studies, Curation and Social Anthropology.
Alongside their creative practice, Bee often delivers guest lectures at top universities, offers creative mentoring and professional practice support, and in 2024 was a board member for the Barbican Centre’s Imagine Fund, allocating funding to community arts projects.
